Sanur has dozens of inexpensive, almost indistinguishable little tourist-oriented restaurants but, surprisingly, lacks of the choice of fine-dining experiences found in Kuta and Ubud. You’ll find the most authentic Indonesian food at restaurants beyond the drag, particularly along predominantly residential Jl Danau Poso in Blanjong. The night market that sets up at Jl Danau Tamblingan/Jl Sindhu intersection is another good place for cheap Indonesian dishes, or there are always the takeaway noodles, rice and soups from the handcarts that set up along Jl Danau Tamblingan after sundown. Many restaurants offer free pick-ups for dinners within the Sanur area.
Sanur Place to Eat
There's a distinct European influence in many menus in Sanur, reflecting the large number of German and Scandinavian visitors.
