Definitely visit, Air Terjun Sindang Gila (2000Rp) is a spectacular set of falls 20 minutes’ walk from Senaru. The walk is partly through forest and partly alongside an irrigation canal that follows the contour of the hill, accosianally diappearing into tunnels where the cliffs are too steep.
Another 40 minutes or so forther up the hills is Air Terjun Tiu Kelep, a spot where you can go swimming. Tge track is steep and tough at times, so it’s good idea to take a guide (10000Rp).
There are several community tourism activities around Senaru, helping the villagers get more involved in the tourism industry and helping travelers gain valuable insights into the local way of life. These include a visit to the traditional village of Dusun Senaru, with its air of antiqity, which costs 5000Rp with a giude; a rice terraces and waterfalls walk (30000Rp) which includes Sindang Gila, some stunning vistas and a bemo ride back; and the Senaru Panorama Walk (45000Rp), which is led by women guides and tales in local lifestyles.
