To Indonesia, Bali and Beyond With Timeshares

Timeshares Can Take You Anywhere

If you'd like to travel to every corner of Indonesia and beyond, but are concerned about securing accommodation every time you return, you might want to consider timeshares. A common misconception about timeshares is that they'll tie you down to one place, thereby stifling your vacation opportunities, but in actuality, the opposite is true. With a little research and planning, timeshares can take you all over the vast country of Indonesia, and all over the world.

Find the Perfect Resort for You There are a couple of methods you can use to let timeshares to take you anywhere. If you've found a particular region of Indonesia, like a seaside resort in Bali, that you've fallen in love with, you'll most likely want to purchase your "home resort" there. A home resort is essentially your default resort. Every time your week renews (generally every year or every other year depending on your personal preferences), it will renew to this home resort in, for example, Bali. You can return here as many times as your contract allows, and your resort will always be ready and waiting. However, if one year you feel like exploring somewhere new, you can trade your Bali timeshare for a week in say, Jakarta.

Exchange Your Weeks

Here's how it works: when you buy timeshare at your home resort, the first thing you'll want to ensure is that it is affiliated with a large exchange company. These companies, like RCI or Interval International create affiliations with timeshare resorts all over the world and allow owners to trade their timeshare within the network for any other resort, anywhere in the world. Once you've explored the ins and outs of Indonesia you can travel to Egypt, Japan, Africa, Colorado or anywhere else your heart would take you, all with your Bali timeshare.

Or Buy a Vacation Club Membership

Working with a home resort, as described above, is the most traditional method of timeshare ownership. However, if you'd prefer even more freedom and flexibility in your vacation option, you can choose to purchase a timeshare with the lesser known but quickly growing option, a vacation club. These clubs work a little like a combination of traditional timeshares and exchange clubs. They'll generally allot owners one or more weeks annually or biennially, but rather than assigning them to a specific resort, vacation clubs will make a broad array of resorts available for owners to choose from every year. Whichever method you choose, timeshares can take you all over Indonesia and beyond.
